Alan, you and others advocate SQL for data independance. I am all for making things as simple as possible. (begone arcane arts C C++ etc) ---- but , have you come across problems using SQL. We have recently istalled a new packaged system that is using a lot of SQL and we have many performance issues with the OS constantly recreating access paths. (we are fixing these as we come across them by making lgl files). Has anyone who advocates SQL got these performance issues. If so how do you manange them, if not what am I (are we) doing wrong. TIA. ____________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com. +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
