On the S/36, files usually wereNAMED A.IM for an item master, etc. This would be in the OCL as follows. // LOAD PROG01 // FILE NAME-IM,LABEL-A.IM,DISP-SHR // RUN The usual practice for test files was to have an alternate OCL with the A.IM replaced by T.IM (or similar), for example // LOAD PROG1,TESTLIB // FILE NAME-IM,LABEL-T.IM,DISP-SHR // RUN A bit of a pain, but that's the way we did (and still do) it on the S/36. Now I have to test these programs. The problem i have is that the data file library it only recognises is QS36F which is my production library with live data i cannot test the modified sources with files in the production library. How could i probably use a different data file library in an S36 environment. +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
