the command NETSTAT then option 1 to find out what TCP/IP interfaces are active. This will not tell you about any NAT (Network Address Translation) IP addresses you may have. On my system we have our intranet IP addresses as private addresses, but we also have static NAT addresses through our router for the internet. 127.0.0.1 is loopback, which is basically unusable, it is only the local machine. I'm pretty sure a PPP interface will show up in active interfaces also. (only if it's active of course) ----- Original Message ----- From: Dinesh Goyal <din_goe@yahoo.com> To: <RPG400-L@midrange.com> Sent: Thursday, September 30, 1999 10:21 AM Subject: How to fins TCP/Ip Address > Can any body tell me how to find out TCP/IP address of > the AS400 m/c I am working on? > +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
