Mark, Absolutely correct, using FMTOPT(*MAP *DROP). In fact the layout doesn't even need to be the same; it just needs corresponding field names. However, a CPYF to a flat file with a single field as Çagatay originally had requires *NOCHK and will therefore not unpack anything. Thanks for pointing that out.
