Then again, you might use CHGJOBSCDE in your CL program to automatically change the run time to plus 30 minutes. This way it might be possible to have one job schedule entry where the scheduled time changes automatically. What do you think? -----Original Message----- From: Bill Graziano Sent: Wednesday, September 29, 1999 2:26 PM To: 'RPG400-L@midrange.com' Subject: RE: Whats the best way to run a CL every 30 min Actually, I stand corrected. I use WRKJOBSCDE so often that I issued this command without thinking. What you want to use is ADDJOBSCDE (ADD JOB SCHEDULE ENTRY not WORK JOB SCHEDULE ENTRY). From a command line type ADDJOBSCDE and prompt. This is what you will get: Add Job Schedule Entry (ADDJOBSCDE) Type choices, press Enter. Job name . . . . . . . . . . . . Name, *JOBD Command to run . . . . . . . . . <ENTER YOUR SBMJOB COMMAND HERE> Frequency . . . . . . . . . . . *WEEKLY Schedule date, or . . . . . . . *CURRENT Schedule day . . . . . . . . . . *NONE *ALL + for more values Schedule time . . . . . . . . . *CURRENT <ENTER TIME HERE> Save . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *NO *NO, *YES Obviously, you will have to schedule it multiple times to run as often as you would like. HELP/SYSTEMS has a nice product called SCHEDULER. I have used it and you will only have to create one scheduled job. It will run it for you every 30 minutes. -----Original Message----- From: Kahn, David [JNJFR] [mailto:DKahn1@JNJFR.JNJ.com] Sent: Wednesday, September 29, 1999 12:29 PM To: 'RPG400-L@midrange.com' Subject: RE: Whats the best way to run a CL every 30 min Bill, Exactly what parameter settings would you use to do that?
