Just before the ENDPGM statement, put a DLYJOB DLY(1800) , in seconds, then
a GOTO the first line in the cl pgm you want to execute.  This way the
program is called only once and will sleep for 1800 seconds using no CPU.

every 30 min (for instance) or other interval.
