Your code would look something like this:

There AINT more %char function.  That is the function I had asked to be placed on the wishlist for the new and improved RPG.

 

What you are trying to do can be done pretty easily.  Just change the %char to %edtcde with a Z for zero suppress.  You may want to look up the correct coding but it is what you want.
