Tim,

     The IFS stuff I just posted has a whole bunch of C functions
being converted to RPG.   You might want to take a look, since I
quoted the C prototype above the RPG prototype for each function :)

In general, though:

         int,long                         10I 0
         unsigned int, unsigned long      10U 0
         short                             5I 0
         unsigned short                    5U 0
         char                              1A

         in C, pointers point at a specific data type, in
         RPG they don't.  so char * and int *, etc are all
         just pointers in RPG.

         struct, typedef, union, etc can usually
         be done with ordinary data structures.
