I am not sure what you mean about the server side of the FTP
logging file.

If the session is initiated from the 400 you may do the following.
CRTPF QTEMP/LOGFILE RCDLEN(???)
OVRDBF OUTPUT TOFILE(QTEMP/LOGFILE)
FTP
DLTOVR OUTPUT
Have your way with the log file.

If the session is initiated from somewhere else to the 400 then you'll
have to use the FTP exit points to manipulate a log file. I've copied
IBM's standard FTP exit point program and modified it for my use.

Subject: FTP Logging & Pointers

Hi All

The heading of this post is misleading as I have two short questions.

Where would I be able to view/edit the FTP logging ( server side) file ?

Besides being used for mixed-language program calls, what benefits could be
obtained by a series of RPGLE modules using pointers ( as opposed to
lengthy parameter lists) ?

Regards
John.
