Set host id / Get host id are basically useless functions. The following is an extract from one of my client programs: D serveraddr DS D sin_family 5i 0 INZ D sin_port 5u 0 INZ D sin_addr 10u 0 INZ D sin_addrA 4a OVERLAY(sin_addr) D sin_zero 8a INZ As you can see the sin_addr is a long integer, 4 bytes, and overlaid with a 4 character field. Eval sin_addrA = x'A4A41207' (164 164 18 7 as hex) I have never coded the gethostid/sethostid functions so I do not have an examples to give to use. -----Original Message----- From: A.Vishnu Vardhan [mailto:vishvar@yahoo.com] Sent: Wednesday, August 11, 1999 4:44 AM To: RPG400-L@midrange.com Subject: How to retrieve IP address Hi Chris, Thanks for your response.
