IBM would like you to think it can be done with a either the multiple occurs or creating a 1D array of x*y*z elements then having to do the calcs every bloody time you need to create a element address vs. just saying: MOVE A(x,y,z) YRMTHSALES 10.3 It can. But then I can also do my payroll on a abacus...! I'm told that alot of the multi-d code is already in the compiler and that it is taking about 8-man-years to test the thing.... Frankly, I wish they'd've just given it to us in stages, like array inits, and simple cell moves then the full dynamic goodies later...
