Bob, (re: The thread that never ends. Sigh!) >>If I (as a developer, not just me but others) can completing disregard the CF spec and still use ALL new function in RPG IV, then I could consider the notion. However I believe that some developer will sit in a room, have a few free minutes and put stuff into RPG IV that only works on the CF-spec. At tha point, the CF-spec becomes it's own language, no longer RPG IV.<< I think you've been on too many planes, sitting next to too many crying, screaming kids! ;-) Bob, just a guess here, but do you still code all your string handling routines using arrays? You know, those subroutines to concatenate city, state, and zip into one line? I didn't think so. (Now I'm really, REALLY done with this thread! Really! No more! I'm done!) - Dan Bale +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---END
