This has, for some reason, really urked me just now!!! This freakin'
buzzword, "Legacy", is just about to make me a day trader.

In this specific case, the word is totally out of context...in fact, quite
amatuerish. Stupid logic has nothing to do with legacy. I promise you,
there are at least as many programmers today, if not more, who write this
!@#$% crap as they did 20 years ago. Why do you think Windows
SUCKS????????!!!!!!!!!!!

In a more general sense, exactly what kind of code would be considered
"non-legacy"?

Funny thing---I was browsing the ole web the other day and ran across some
interesting info on the ENIAC. Guess what the "Average error free running
period" was? It was 5.6 hrs!   Hmm....not too damned bad for 1947 huh?
Pretty darned close to today's non-legacy systems ain't it?

FYI: The word really has nothing to do with computing in terms of how it's
used. Legacy refers to things of "the past". It is a marketing term ONLY.
Absorb that, and you will do well with vendors.
