Sample SQL, straight from the SQL programmers manual: 4100 C/EXEC SQL 4200 C+ UPDATE CORPDATA/EMPLOYEE 4300 C+ SET SALARY = SALARY * :PERCNT 4400 C+ WHERE COMM >= :COMMI 4500 C/END-EXEC The variables that are preceeded with the colons are host variables. So perhaps some similar method could be used with CL. However I opt for the ampersand versus the colon. I think the commands may require this. thatzenbeler@clinitech.net on 08/02/99 01:37:19 PM Please respond to RPG400-L@midrange.com@Internet To: RPG400-L@midrange.com@Internet cc: Fax to: Subject: RE: RPG IV and CF-spec OR CL II I have never used the SQL directives before, can you use run time variables in the directives? Or are they considered constants when you compile the program?
