You have to do the following.

1. If you want to join two files and no need to have new file, then
you can just mention whatever the conditions you need in Query
selection and give primary file format on FORMAT.

2. If you want to create new join file with selected fields from both
files, then
You need to create that file externally with required fileds.
In FORMAT you give that new file format.
Match the fields in Join fileds Specifications (2 old files to New
files)
Write required condition in Query selection.
Mention the fields in Key field specifications that will take care of
     ORDER BY function.

This new file is created in memory and only programs can read this file, we
can't see records in this file using OPNQRY or SQL.

hope this will help you.
