If I understand correctly from prior message threads, CL gets no enhancements because no one "owns" it anymore because it is not a profit center. If it is indeed an "orphan", prehaps Toronto could be induced to "adopt" it as an enhancement to RPG? They could then spend a little of the $100 on CL. -----Original Message----- From: John P Carr <jpcarr@tredegar.com> To: RPG400-L <RPG400-L@midrange.com> Date: Friday, July 30, 1999 6:05 PM Subject: RE: RPG IV and CF-spec OR CL II > >>>[Hatzenbeler, Tim] I think you have a good idea here, I would like >>>the ability to run commands straight from RPGIV or (CL II) without having >>>to use the qcmdexc. >> what do you think >> cf select >> cf when choice ='5' >> cf dspsplf >> cf when choice = '6' >> cf dspsyssts >> cf endsl >> I think a marriage between RPG IV & CL, would be fantastic. > >Uh, I asked Toronto for this in 1993-4. >Only I said to use the BEGCL begin CL like a subroutine > > CL BEGCL > >C WRKSPLF >C MONMSG CPF0000 >C SNDPGMMSG xxxxxxxxxxx > >C ENDCL > >John Carr > >+--- >| This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! >| To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. >| To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. >| To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. >| Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com >+---END > > +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---END
