On the 2 previous occasions I have used the following record level key word I have not had to do the standard mathematical routine for deriving row and column position. A RTNCSRLOC(*RECNAME &REC &FLD) A FLD 10A H A REC 10A H Within the RPG program I have coded: ..CL0N01N02N03Factor1+++OpcdeFactor2+++ResultLenDHHiLo C SELEC * Salutation C FLD WHEQ 'CUSALU' * C EXSR VALFLD C C1RTN IFEQ 'Y' C MOVELC1VAL CUSALU P C ENDIF In this case CUSALU is a both field within the record format containing the RTNCSRLOC keyword Hope this helps.
