There are no error messages, the trace shows nothing funny. The data queue is not receiving the "*ICFF" entry so the application is not reading the icf file. After the data is received an "RR", (Receive Ready), is sent back. No indication of an error in the trace. While I was out sick a contractor changed the application to read 1024 bytes per record, up from 256. This error seemed to go away by its self prior to that. An unsolved mystery. No. Any error messages in QSYSOPR? No. We've used the technique of overriding ICF files to data queues without any problems in X.25 applications, so I would look for something like this. Do you have a communications trace of the session? Yes. If so, look to see what the AS/400 does when it receives the data. If it issues an X.25 reset this would be an indication of configuration mismatch. No reset. hth, Patrick * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * This is the RPG/400 Discussion Mailing List!
