Thanks Scott and Buck for the PTF's. I'll try those Monday. I also found a reference on a NEWS400 Forum saying PTF SF56021 would fix it. We loaded that one today to no avail. On further experimenting, we also found that %ERROR and %FOUND are also not working in service programs, though not consistently. We can put the indicators back on and they come on, but the BIF's do not. All of this code was working fine until we starting replacing indicators with the BIF's. All the posters in the Forum were recent (since June 15th), so this may be a new problem. To the rest of you members of the short-attention-span-theater, the question was about Indicator BIF's in service programs, not do loops. I don't want to get that thread going again. The code submitted was to show that after the very same read, the numeric indicator came on, the %EOF came on, but the %EOF(Filename) did not. -----Original Message----- From: Scott P.
