Have you tried Op nav?  The case insensitive search works.  I can view pesky 
spool files that I can't view with DSPSPLF, such as PC printouts.  I've had 
some weird results such as overlapping typestyles, on a regular spool file.  
Honestly, I normally only use op nav at gunpoint.  But for the text challanged 
it might work.

There is a shareware one available at  http://www.precosis.com.au,
called View Spool Enhancer.  I just came across it recently and
downloaded the demo.
