Hi All,

I have a display files with 2 subfile records and one (non-subfile) record
format. Following is the logic coded:

(1) I am READing SubfileA for a later update.
(2) Displaying RecordFormatR.
(3) Then on some input criteria in RecordFormatR, displaying SubfileB. Here I am
READC/CHAIN the SubfileB upon pressing a Function key.
(4) After this, I return back to RecordFormatR.
(5) Then on RecordFormatR I press F3/F12 to come back to SubfileA.
(6) Then I UPADATe SubfileA.

But it happens that after step (5) I get an error '.....issued update or delete
in ATA010D without prior READ or CHAIN....'

And when I 'm not doing READC/CHAIN in step (3) , I don't have this error.

Can you tell where is the problem?

Thanks a lot.
Rajeev.
