  • Subject: Explaing "order" of Alpha field...
  • From: Chuck Lewis <CLEWIS@xxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Folks,

Was wondering if anyone has been through this before and has a short
document or something that explains HOW an alpha field is "sorted". I
know in my head but need to put something together for our users and
thought WHY reinvent the wheel ;-) ESPECIALLY since I'm buried in a ton
of other stuff <G>.

What I have is a physical inventory location file/programs (3rd party)
that has Row, Bin, Shelf as 3A and our users came off of a Unix system
and home grown apps and are having trouble with this so sort for bin
labels, etc. are coming out all screwed up...

Thanks !!

Chuck
