using release v3r2m0:

i have an rpg procedure that accepts several char parms and sends back
a 1 char long returnvalue of '0' or '1'.

when i reference this procedure from an rpg program (ie; *in30 =
rtvactjob(charparm1: charparm2 : *omit)) everything works as expected.

however, when i call this procedure from a clle program (ie; callprc
prc(rtvactjob) parm(&charparm1  &charparm2  *OMIT) rtnval(&rtncde)),
i have problems. i keep getting the error "pointer not set for location
referenced" when i return from the callprc. In fact, the only occasions
where i have successfully called a 'returnvalue' procedure from a clle
program without abending has been when there are NO parameters being
passed (ie; callprc prc (rtvactjob) rtnval(&rtncde)).

can anyone explain to me why this is happening?

thank you
