Yes there is, if you are using RPGIV (regular RPG doesn't use a timestamp anyway). It is the move opcode. Here is some code I just tried and it worked just fine. Not very elegant, but I'm not elegant anyway (as always, use fixed font): 0018.00 D TmStamp S Z inz 0019.00 C* .................................................. 0020.00 C Time TmStamp 0021.00 C MOVEl TmStamp FIELD20 20 0 0022.00 c field20 mult .000001 field6 6 0 field6 then held a value of "124352" and the time here was 12:43, more or less. In fact I think there is a simpler way but I couldn't discover it.
