The procedure that we have implemented to END QINTER (so that no-one can sign onto the system and inadvertently lock files on a backup) the following coding works. This means that this procedure can only be run from the console on the AS/400. I hope that is what you are hoping to achieve. 0017.00 /* RETRIEVE SYSTEM VALUE FOR CONSOLE NAME 0018.00 RTVSYSVAL SYSVAL(QCONSOLE) RTNVAR(&CNSL) 0019.00 0020.00 /* RETRIEVE JOB ATTRIBUTES 0021.00 RTVJOBA JOB(&JOB) 0022.00 0037.00 IF COND(&CNSL *NE &JOB) THEN(DO) 0038.00 /* INFORM USER TO SIGN ONTO CONSOLE INSTEAD 0039.00 SNDPGMMSG MSG('Option can + 0040.00 only be used from the console.') 0041.00 0042.00 GOTO CMDLBL(EOJ) 0043.00 ENDDO 0044.00 >>> <ssiva@squared.co.in> 12/10 12:22 PM >>> Hi to all I am planning to write one small package for backup.
