  • Subject: Commitment control limit on RCV size

Dear all,

Whilst I've never 'used' the vast knowledge of this list before I've
certainly leared from it - the later week have become 'slow'!!! I second the
idea of taking such discussions off line.... However I wouldn't comment but
for having a genuine question.

Why does commitment control fail when the current receiver reaches [about -
not tested] 2Gb? It seems the job running with transactions uncommitted just
ends. Because our site uses third party mirroring S/W we can not set the
journal to auto-gen a new receiver as the mirroring S/W controls this and
does not allow this option (for some reason). Whilst one could view either
system (i.e. OS vs Mirroring software) wrong I can find no reason why this
occurs.

Cheers,
Paul.
