Thanks. I was using a CHGVAR(&CHAR) VALUE(&DEC) command, but I had originally tried VALUE(&DEC + 1) but it really doesn't like doing that. It can't seem to accommodate the arithmetic with the conversion all at the same time. Works fine now.
