Does anyone else have a problem debugging programs that use pointers? The following is an example. The structure QZMFMDAE is defined in QSYSINC in QZMFASRV. Note that debug displays the pointer QZMMDP differently when I display the data structure. Displaying the data structure in hex the pointer is correctly represented. This happen to us all the time. Anyone else have these things happen? "Variable not available to display", etc. We are on V3R7 with all of the available PTFs. I tried putting this as both a local and global definition. Same result. Reminds me of something I once heard. "The only bug I ever had was when I thought I had a bug and I didn't." > EVAL QZMMDP QZMMDP = SPP:C0AB6D44EF000210 > EVAL QZMFMDAE QZMMDP OF QZMFMDAE = SPP:C0EAD97D4A0009D0 QZMMDL00 OF QZMFMDAE = 000000316. QZMMDFN08 OF QZMFMDAE = 'ORGL0100' QZMERVED14 OF QZMFMDAE = 000000000. > EVAL QZMFMDAE :X 32 00000 80000000 00000000 C0AB6D44 EF000210 - Ø.......{¿_àÕ... 00010 0000013C D6D9C7D3 F0F1F0F0 00000000 - ....ORGL0100....
