Rob, Unfortunately not. However my question was simply "Does anyone know how to journal a Data Area ?", the answer was a resounding NO!. Several ideas were posted here and the Newsgroup, however I opted to include a specific "data area refresh" at the end of each batch of compressed journals which I send to our disaster recovery machine. The mirroring software being our own; this was relatively straight forward. But if you're using third party software to perform the mirroring I guess you would have to check the timing of any non-db polling performed for refresh.
