Rob,

two methods could be used;

1. changing the IPL startup-pgm (SYSVAL QSTRUPPGM)
2. Adding a Autostart job entry in the subsystem of choice

To do these;

1. DSPSYSVAL QSTRUPPGM   - note the name/lib of the pgm
   RTVCLSRC PGM(lib/name) SRCFILE(lib/filename)
   edit the source ie add the STRTCP
   compile the source

   next IPL will start TCP.

2. Create a jobd with the request data of       STRTCP called, say, TCPIPJD in
MYLIB.
   ADDAJE SBSD(QCMN) JOB(GOTCPIP) JOBD(MYLIB/TCPIPJD)

   next time the subsystem is ended & restarted, the jobd request data will
 be executed.
