I use my MacBook Pro regularly, though not necessarily every day.

The biggest problem I have with it is the keyboard.   A number of keys that I typically use are missing, such as Home, etc.   Things like Page Up / Page Down are there, but require you to hold down the 'Fn' button + arrow keys, which is cumbersome.   Generally, the Mac itself works well, but the keyboard is awkward.   If you hook up an external keyboard, there's no problem.  Of course, it might be different for you, depending on the specific built-in keyboard you have on your model.

I find it to be a lot more stable/reliable than Windows.

Its not very good for gaming, though, mostly because only a fraction of the games are available for it.

It's the car that you drive on a daily basis, vs something you drive just for fun. Like I have a Dodge truck that I drive to work everyday, and a 64 Cadillac that I drive only in the summertime.

So in laptop terms it's something you use for your daily activities, and maybe you have a gaming system that you only use for gaming.

I have never heard that expression either ... and was about to ask the same question.

What is meant by "daily driver"?

So on Saturday I picked up a used Macbook pro. Over the years I've toyed
around with the idea of using a Mac, but the cost was just way too high.
Then, I found a local place that sells used stuff, so I got a Macbook
for
about half the cost of new.

So I was just curious if anyone else is using a Mac for their daily
driver,
and what did you think of it?

So far I have everything I want setup on it and it seems to be working
well.
