I get excellent resolution at 2560 x 1440 with my HP Pavilion 32 inch display, but is not a TV

What are the important specs for a 32" TV to be used as a computer monitor?

I am using a 32" TV at the moment and am finding the type is blurry. 1920 x 1080 is the max resolution for this particular TV.

Is it resolution, or pixels per inch? or some other measure that I should watch for?
