Truthfully, .Net is the most efficient development platform built for web and thick client development, and if it were beyond whimsical on the POWER
platform I'd dive in (many of you may know my lack of faith in much

I'm guessing that the C++ will have some dependencies that would need a real expert to resolve so I don't see it happening anytime soon outside of Rochester (or more appropriately India/China as directed by Rochester)
Until there is a real push for wanting it, IBM won't spend any money on it, nor should they. I can however make a case for doing it. I have a customer in the Mideast currently running IBM i that is doing a proof of concept on a couple of different platforms and depending on that outcome POWER may or may not be in the long term plans for that company. .Net might tip the scales for them.....

IBM Rochester could very easily pick it up and port it to run in PASE.

I'm being serious. If I had interest, or if I were convinced that X had sufficient value to my development efforts, I'd port X. I personally don't know diddly about .NET; I don't know what the advantages are. If there were a community ported version, I'd give it a whirl. I did with iSeries Python.
