I've got a customer that wants to run an application on a virtual
machine that uses a voice modem to dial up the on-call staff and play a
variety of voice messages for the alarm conditions. The modem and
application work fine on a physical PC but in the vm using a usb over
Ethernet or vmWare's usb passthrough it only dials but doesn't play the
message.

Does anybody know of a voice modem that will work with the vm?
