And a lot (most ?) of the people I run into using tablets are using them
under a BYOD policy, so that makes it difficult to provide any meaningful
feedback.

Haven't seen much of the Windows based systems at all.

Lenovo has a USB dock that supports wired ethernet and dual monitors, or
you can get a USB ethernet adapter, bluetooth keyboard/mouse, and an
HDMI
monitor.

Seriously? I didn't think anyone was buying those things.

I hate to admit it but it looks like the best one I've looked at.
They do have to buy a cover/keyboard and a couple of other
accessories.

I'd be interested in the other replies.

Subject: [PCTECH] Good tablet for business

All,

A couple of managers are getting their desktop PCs replaced. Both are
interested in tablets so they can take it with them if they so desire.
However, 90% of the usage will be at work with a docking station. The
only tablet experience I have is Android.

Need:

Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit
Docking station
USB 3.0 and 2.0
Wireless and wired

Battery life, though important, is not critical.

What are some of the good ones out there?

Thanks.
