I downloaded and installed it. Going to give it a try for the next few
days.

It looks promising, thanks.

I use Syncback (http://www.2brightsparks.com/). They have several
versions--freeware, pro, etc. You can copy or synchronize with options to
base it on the source or target folder. It also has a scheduler. I use it
with both my Drobo mass-storage device and Google Drive, for things that I
want to have accessible wherever I go.

Works well.

Subject: [PCTECH] Windows 7 backup

All,

Just installed a Win 7 Pro desktop (first Win 7 desktop, though we have
several Win 7 laptops)

I don't like the backup that comes with Win 7. What freeware backup are
some of you using? I want to back up 1) to a file server on the network,
2) on a set schedule at night, 3) keeping X number of copies and then
overwriting.

Thanks.
