Yes. Skills have been around for a while and now your connections can endorse that, in their experience, you actually have those skills.

For the moment, if I'm on LI and have a few minutes I'll go through a few panels of endorsements (they pop up on the top of profile pages). I probably triggered an email to Rob and a few others on the list this morning as I did a few. I wasn't looking up list members; I was just reacting to the panel.

And as noted if you see the panel for endorsement you're only endorsing one skill at a time. I might endorse you for RPG but not for iSeries as that wasn't displayed. LI doesn't at the moment offer a drop-list of skills in the panel; instead you'd have to go to the person's profile to do multiple concurrent endorsements.
