ccleaner is a great utility and I recommend a good ccleaner regularly, just
prior to shutdown.

Have you tried running a registry cleaner after uninstalling FF Jeff?
It wasn't FF but I know that was what I needed to do to clean up a
similar kind of problem many years ago. Or going into the registry and
looking for any FF entries yourself?
