Yeah, this is old news, too, but it's now getting IMPLEMENTED.

Old news and not as serious as when it first came out. It has been proven
by several researchers that the initial story isn't as severe as thought.
They do collect some stuff, but they don't log any keystrokes or texts. The
data collected is mostly used by the networks for troubleshooting and
network service quality checking. Carrier IQ is only a tool and the data is
sent to your network provider.
