Maybe I do not understand enough about the topic [e.g. underlying
details], but if someone did not want their ssid publicly visible and
thus publishable [¿except as limited by law, usually only for profit,
such as per copyright?], should they not just stop broadcasting that
information? Until I had to deal with [only older?] Macs which seem
incapable of remembering how to reconnect without, I always turned off
the "broadcast ssid" wireless setting.
