I have a USB Logitech Trackman. I love it. The left button became
unreliable after what, 5 years? Seven? I can't recall how long I've
had it. Well I found a more or less equivalent switch in my junk box
and soldered it in, but this sort of maintenance usually heralds the end
of service life.
Logitech no longer make a USB Trackman, only the wireless version.
1) Does the wireless Trackman have the same exquisite feel that the USB
Trackman has?
2) How does the wireless connexion work when it gets hit with 40 watts
of 2GHz RF? As a microwave amateur radio operator, I don't want the
cursor to fly randomly across the screen when I transmit, but the worst
case scenario is a dead wireless dongle or mouse (they both have
receivers in the 2GHz band).
I realise the likelihood of an answer is low, but hope springs eternal:-)
