Is this a one-time thing?
If so, and if you have iSeries Access (or whatever it's called these days), you can use the plugin for excel.
Contact me off-list if you want me to send you the tutorial I made some years ago.

Subject: [PCTECH] Generate create table SQL from excel 2007
Does anyone have a nifty way to create a table in DB/2 from a structure in Excel and then upload it? All the examples on the internet are for SQL Server (not surprising) I have a couple of large Excel spreadsheets that I would like to create DB/2 tables for and then use SQL to compare, contrast, and extract data from them. I know this can be done if I write VBA in Excel but that requires more of a learning curve than I wish to take on right now.
