Richard,

Here's an interesting one.
Anyone ever try running MacOSX on VMware or Virtual Box ?

Many people have. One commonly referenced site is
http://www.hackintosh.com/ which I always thought was a clever name.

Be aware that the OSX license terms prohibit installation on a box which is
not "Apple-labeled". So even if you buy a new copy of Snow Leopard, it
still is against the EULA license terms to install in a virtual machine or
dual boot configuration.

Another interesting alternative is boot-132, which must be customized to
very specific hardware configurations. But using it means you can install
from a retail version of Snow Leopard, so you aren't technically running
afoul of DCMA restrictions on altering the OSX install image. You still do
not comply with Apple's stated EULA, though some claim that you only need to
apply your own "Apple label" to the box and you are in compliance. Here is
how one person did it:

IANAL, YMMV, yada, yada
