The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

John as near as I can tell from anything Knoppix shows they are BOTH
identical and are definitely different than the 2 hard drives in the PC
that Knoppix sees.
I knew you used to be able to reinstall Windows but you an still do this
via Repair ? This is XP Pro by the way.
Thanks !
Chuck

Subject: Re: [PCTECH] Knoppix and a USB drive
It's a shot in the dark, but might the USB thumb drive be FAT/FAT32 and
the
USB hard drive NTFS?

BTW if the HD is readable but Windows is hosed, you should be able to
repair
or reinstall Windows without blowing away the data files as long as you
don't delete/recreate the hard drive partition.
