The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Quicken and QB are trivial - just install the software, move the files
and open them. Done - no problems.
Outlook on the other hand ... I've used all of the methods noted by
others here and have never been completely happy with the results.
Always some duplication or screw ups etc. because Outlook seems to
keep some stuff "hidden" (repository?). It works OK - just not as
well as it should - but then why would I expect MS to make life simple!

Thanks guys...PST and WET sounds like the solution. Sigh...I also
have to do
Quicken and Quick Books. But...I do get the old PC. Install Linux
(RH I
think) and start playing.
