Check if your router can run one of these.

Your issue - well, it's typical for WLAN. My suggestion would be to
look at a 5Ghz based Network using 802.11n or 802.11a, as this
eliminates common interferences from other 2.4Ghz users (POTS mobile
phones, Microwave ovens).
