Do you have two wireless nics in your laptop?

If yes, it will use the wireless nic with the higher priority.
Priority depends on how Windows is configured.

If you have only one wireless nic, it will associate with the
strongest wireless signal it has on initial connection. Then, it will
stick to that connection until it loses signal and tries to roam to
another configured wireless lan.

Using both connections for a single download stream requires either
the ISPs cooperation or a VPN solution. In both cases, you'd need a
router that can handle multiple internet connections.
