My Kodak 5MP camera that I've had for about 5 years is starting to have
some issues. I started looking around and found that most of the cameras
on the market don't seem to have a viewfinder. I like using the display
on the back for some settings but I don't want that to be my only option
for all pictures that I take. I also tend to use the video-out to display
them on a TV before transferring them to a PC. The new Kodaks that I've
seen don't have either. Although I would like to have a digital SLR those
tend to be bigger and more expensive that what I want right now. I'm
looking for something small enough to carry around and maybe put into a
coat pocket. Any recommendations?

I've got a Canon Powershot SD770 IS, which is 10mp and has video out (although not HD) that works quite nicely.

I use it as a carry around camera when I don't have my EOS 40D with me. It also has a very nice underwater housing that I use when snorkeling.
