FWIW: I _can_ remote into another system in my office ... which is running a very similar configuration to my desktop.

I've even tried remoting in from the other desktop and get the same behavior, so I don't think it's a networking issue.

I'm pretty sure it's an issue with my desktop system ... but I can't get any diagnostics to figure out what it could be.
