You might try going to MalwareBytes.org and downloading their free
program.  I'm sold on it, it's saved me so much time that I paid for 20

Bill,

I just ran it today on Dave Kahn's recommendation.  Also ran
SuperAntiSpyware on Gerald Kern's recommendation.

Thanks for all the good suggestions from everyone.

The popups are gone, but they were gone for a while the last time they
showed up.  I can now run the Secunia on-line checker (good thing) but
the trendmicro one still hangs on any browser I try.

Not sure I got rid of my problem, but it's gone for now.

It amazes me all the different spy/ad/malware removal tools out there,
if you ran one right after another, they'd all find different stuff
the others missed.
